Most under-desk drawers are shallow trays sized for stationery. Put a 16 in laptop in one and it sits diagonally with the lid catching as the drawer closes — which is how people end up not using them.

This one is 20.2 in wide and 18.9 in deep internally, so a laptop from 10 up to 17.3 in lies completely flat with room for a tablet beside it. It hangs deeper than a slim drawer to make that possible, which is a deliberate trade worth checking your knee clearance against.

The floor is lined with anti-scratch EVA foam, so a bare laptop goes straight in without picking up marks from the steel. That is the detail that decides whether you actually stow the machine or leave it on the desk.

The body and runners are steel, with 6.7 in of travel, rated to 11 lb. Two models: No Gap for the lowest possible profile, or Book Gap, which adds an open shelf above the drawer for a notebook or a second device.
